Behind-the-scenes shot of a VIP photo shoot in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

WOW! Would you look at that–July is almost over. *GASP* Where has the time gone? Oh…right *wink* I have been running around crazy road-tripping to Mississippi, photo shoots, spending time with family and friends, attending local events, and going to my first Transfer Day at Emory & Henry College. Phew…July has been slam-packed full of fun (and a little bit of stress *wink*); however, take a look at the photos + descriptions below to get the scoop on what all I have been up to!

I couldn't drive thru Birmingham and NOT stop at the Kate Spade store (hence the pink shopping bag *wink*), and mom had to stop at the amazing Laura Mercier counter at Belk the Summit.

Oh–and did I mention that I will be giving fashion and styling tips, Amber of Type A Designs will be speaking about closet organization and her new children’s dress line, AND another guest will be chatting about all things fashion history. Welcome to My Life: What the VIP Has Been Up To Lately

IMG_2377

What have I been up to? More like what have I not been up to! From dress rehearsals out the wazoo to the Blue Plum Festival and from leading orientations at Northeast State to photo shoots for VIP–I have been rolling…rolling…rolling on the river *cue Tina Turner*

Ah–hardly so; however, I could use a little vacay on the river…or on the beach… Instead, I’ll just continue to binge watch Miss Congeniality from the comfort of my bed *wink* Anyway–where was I? Oh yes, what all I have been up to lately! Let’s take a little photography journey *fist in air*

THE PLAY:

A photo from the first dress rehearsal for “With These Hands,” an outdoor theatre production for the Heritage Alliance of Northeast Tennessee. Play Written by Anne Mason.

A few months ago, I accepted the challenge to act in my first play. What started out as a “little role” soon turned into a character that distinctively appeared in every act as well as many of the scenes *wink* Although my acting has mostly been concentrated around small independent films, I was excited about the opportunity. It has been a scary, stressful, and hilarious journey over the past few weeks; however, the production is coming to a closing. Tomorrow night is our last dress rehearsal… *deep breath* WE GOT THIS *fist in air*

To learn more about the play, click here. Below are some photos from dress rehearsals!

My first scene where I am playing the 8 year old version of character who is too "proper" to be seen in her bathing suite. Keep in mind, this is the late 1800s *wink*

AND TAKE A BOW! I love this whole cast, and it has been such an exciting honor to work with everyone! I am going to miss it--I really am! Stay tuned for more photos and (hopefully) videos after the play is over! I cannot spoil any of it right now *wink*
