Behind-the-scenes shot of a VIP photo shoot in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
WOW! Would you look at that–July is almost over. *GASP* Where has the time gone? Oh…right *wink* I have been running around crazy road-tripping to Mississippi, photo shoots, spending time with family and friends, attending local events, and going to my first Transfer Day at Emory & Henry College. Phew…July has been slam-packed full of fun (and a little bit of stress *wink*); however, take a look at the photos + descriptions below to get the scoop on what all I have been up to!
My Giant Schnauzer, Ziva, and I at the start of the road trip to my hometown in Mississippi.
I couldn’t drive through Birmingham and NOT stop at the Kate Spade store (hence the pink shopping bag *wink*), and mom had to stop at the amazing Laura Mercier counter at Belk the Summit.
My childhood dog and forever sister, Lucy, riding shotgun to my Paw Riley’s house. Lucy is about 18 years old, and she is still the happiest dog on the planet❤
My grandparent’s first selfie. I don’t feel I have to say much about this *wink* #adorable
My Paw Riley and I + his new dog, Chip, who decided snoozing was more important than taking a picture *wink*
The sunrise the morning we left my Gran’s house in Noxapater, Mississippi heading back to Johnson City, Tennessee.
Picnic lunch at some random rest stop on the trip back to Tennessee.
Ziva makes for a pretty good riding companion; however, she refuses to believe she is too big to lie down in the passenger seat *wink*
Some of my friends and I having a good ol’ Southern time on the front porch on the Fourth of July in downtown Johnson City. I t may have rained cats and dogs, but we didn’t let it stop our fun!
My friend Kacie and I enjoying a little GNO to see Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates.

Another photo project I modeled for Andrew Love.
Woo! Transfer Day at Emory & Henry College was a blast!
Can you tell how happy I am to be an E&H Wasp! *wink*
Check it out–so official *wink*
I will be spending the next two years of my college education at this fine establishment, and words cannot express how truly blessed I feel to have the opportunity to attend Emory & Henry College❤
Just acting like emojis while working new student orientation at Northeast State Community College.
This month’s Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Radio Hour was all about family gatherings and how “family” can mean many different things. I love my radio show family!
Olde Time Photos of Jonesborough came out to help the radio cast + live audience get in the spirit with some fabulous photos! Check out my prop photo below.
I absolutely love this photo! Thanks, Olde Time Photos! The Hathorn family will be headed your way soon for a little photo shoot *wink*
Sadie, our youngest cast member, and I back stage at the Jonesborough Yarn Exchange. This kiddo has so much spunk and talent, and I am pretty sure she can operate my iPhone better than me *wink*
The wall of autographs at the International Storytelling Center. It’s truly mind-blowing that I get to stand on the same stage as famous storytellers from all around the world–how motivating!
Thanks so much for checking out my July wrap-up. I will be moving into my dorm room at Emory & Henry August 20th, so I hope to be posting some more VIP Blue blogs about my dorm decor, tips about being a Celiac college student, and much more soon! So, stay tuned, and be sure to read Vintage Inspired Passionista + connect with me on social media!
